 | Jeffrey Harrington Chief of Police Chief Harrington has over 20 years of experience in law enforcement and corrections. He attended college in Vermont and earned Bachelors and Masters degrees from Norwich University. Captain Harrington continued his educational pursuits in the Master of Public Administration program at Troy University. In addition, Chief Harrington has earned a PhD in Organization/Management. Chief Harrington most recently served as the department's executive officer until he was appointed as Chief of Police on August 4, 2010. Chief Harrington previously served as the Operations Commander as well as the Community Services Commander. |
 | Steven Kostas Lieutenant Commander of Operations Lieutenant Kostas began his career as a Patrolman with the New Port Richey Police Department in 1992. He has had several positions including Detective, Corporal, Detective Sergeant, and Lieutenant. Lieutenant Kostas is a Florida state certified instructor in several high liability areas, including firearms and defensive tactics. Lieutenant Kostas has trained many potential law enforcement officers at the Pasco-Hernando Community College Law Enforcement Academy in Dade City. Lieutenant Kostas is responsible for the efficient operation of the sworn members of the New Port Richey Police Department, and serves as the SWAT Team Commander. Lieutenant Kostas is also the department's liason to the Department of Homeland Security and serves on the Regional Domestic Security Task Force. |
 | Matthew Berry Lieutenant Commander of Administration Lieutenant Berry joined the New Port Richey Police Department in 1997. Since then, he has served his community in several different positions, including Patrolman, Community Oriented Policing (COP) Officer, Corporal, and Lieutenant. Lieutenant Berry is responsible for the administrative functions of the Police Department such as the budget and personnel, and is also responsible for the civilian employees working in the Communications and Records Division and Code Enforcement Division. |
